After school program
I have had a lot of request for an after school program, so here's the scoop!
We will do our after school program on Wednesdays from 3:30 - 5pm. Cost will be $15.00 a session. You MUST sign-up. I am limiting the class to 20 kids and there seems to be a big interest. You can call or email me if interested. Payment will be taken at sign-up (with tax it will be $16.16). Spot will not be held without payment.If your child becomes sick and misses the class I will make arrangements for your child to complete the project. Regular cost of projects worked on will be in the $12.00-$20.00 range (most projects will be in the $15-20 range). I will add pictures as I get them but for now here are the dates and list of projects we will be working on and description. What a great way to get your holiday shopping done with handmade gifts from the kids!
Week 1 Chalkboard plate- create your own chalkboard with a salad plate. the center will be prepared for you using a special paint and you just have to decorate the outside to match your mood and have fun doing it!!
Week 2 Work with clay- clay has to sit for a min of 2 weeks we will have another session to glaze our pieces! Create a bowl, mug, vase, etc out of clay. Learn how to make and use your item for everyday use.
Week 3 Character corn- are ears of corn with faces. Use as a fall decoration. We will prepare the husk for our corn. Husk will be added after they are fired.
Week 4 Gumball machine- a great way to display your candy or even your Beta fish. This has been a popular piece with one of the after schools I work with.
Week 5 Glaze clay project or pick your own piece- if you decide you don't want to glaze your piece or you are just starting you can pick a piece up to $15.00 unless mom or dad gives you a limit to choose from. There are over 600 items to choose from and more are added each day.
Week 6 Create w/ bubbles- we will learn how to use bubbles to make designs on vases, mugs, bowls, or plates
Week 7 Penguin or Reindeer snow jar- you can choose between penguins or reindeer and we will make our very own snow globe for the holidays!!
Week 8 Choose your own piece- you can choose your own piece up to $15 unless mom or dad gives you a limit! You will have hundreds of chooses. New items are added everyday.
Week 9 Bobble heads- there are 9 to choose from lion, monkey, bulldog, snake, football player, elephant, donkey, chuwawa, and a pig
